Goodies to Shelagh

Yesterday was spent having a cozy and much sunny lunch in the garden at Shelagh’s masseria. She had made a colorful and most tasty of salads seasoned with cumin and soya. Meanwhile, I brought some baked tofu topped with tångrom and black cabbage. Having been inspired to do some braided goodies from a post at Instagram, I made a pesto-zucchini-braid too. Both the food and the company was in all its simplicity as beautiful as always hanging with my salento ladies!

[I took no photos at Shelagh’s, but just enjoyed every moment of spending this tremendously longed for commensality]

I am a big fan of the [Italian] gesture that one should come with so much stuff that one has to knock with the feet. Hence I brought a delicious bottle of white wine from the Pugliese producer Cantine Polvanera to go with the other goodies.
