Anthropologist // Sensory Scholar // Multimodal Ethnographer // Menstrual Health Researcher

How fun that you’ve found my website! I originally created this space to share experiences from my PhD research on olive culture in Italy. Since then, it has grown to include other passions and curiosities, among them, my recently deepened interest in menstrual (un)health.

I’m a curious, creative, and engaged anthropologist specializing in sensory and multimodal ethnography. My academic journey began with a bachelor’s degree in Textile Development from FIT in New York, and more recently, I earned a doctorate in Social Anthropology from Stockholm University. My PhD thesis was one of the first multimodal dissertations defended at the university, and I’m proud to have contributed to expanding the boundaries of academic practice, even as text-based research remains the norm. I’m currently in the early stages of a postdoctoral project exploring menstrual (un)health, where I’m especially excited about incorporating art-based methods.

When I’m not immersed in anthropological research or critical thinking, I spend my time gardening, painting, and writing a book. I also love cooking, photography, and traveling.
