Thrilled Winner
I woke up to a most wonderful e-mail Saturday. It was from the editor of FoodAnthropology, David Beriss, and it stated that I was this year’s winner of the SAFN Anthropology Day Photo Contest. Thrilled and beyond happy for this recognition of my scholarly, multimodal, and anthropological work, I was especially glad to read that I had impressed the judges with my talent for photography and ethnography and that they had been “very impressed by the composition of [my] photos, as well as by the ways [I] illustrated landscape, work, food, etc.” What a wonderful e-mail!
